**Cyber Incident Response Lead**

**In short**: Cyber Incident Response Lead required to join a global utilities client in standing up a brand new SOC.
- This is a temp to perm role. You will come into the business as a contractor with a view to a permanent conversion including a strong salary and excellent benefits._

**About the role**

**Key responsibilities for the role include**:
Perform high-quality technical analysis, to ensure a full understanding of what happened during a cyber security incident or data breach and ensure initial containment and eventual remediation are performed correctly

Produce high-quality output in a variety of formats, from daily update slides to full technical investigation reports.

Work in the organisation to ensure we manage risk appropriately throughout the organisation.

Provide mentoring and oversight to the incident response team to help the team grow and develop.

Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to understand and cope with large amounts detail quickly and efficiently.

The ability to solve challenging technical problems.

Communication skills to explain your technical findings to a variety of audiences, including business stakeholders, officials and non-technical individuals.

An understanding of threat actors and techniques used to compromise organisations.

Solid cloud and on-premises enterprise security incident response experience.

Highly Desirable would be experience in incident response and threats in OT and Industrial Control Systems.

**Technical and Operational Skills and extensive hands-on experience of**:
Digital Forensics

Technical incident response in a variety of operating systems and environments

Enterprise security operations capabilities and tooling

Enterprise IT networks and Active Directory

Cloud services such as Azure, Microsoft 365, GCP, and AWS

Operational Technology Incident Response experience

Planning and delivering incident readiness and preparedness services, such as tabletop exercises, threat briefings, incident playbooks or runbooks, and capability gap analysis

Running Lessons Learnt sessions

Acting as the investigation lead for small to large-sized cyber incidents, including overseeing the work of other team members

Training and mentoring other team members in both technical and soft skills

Above all, we are looking for someone who has a can-do attitude, a great work ethic and can work in a collaborative environment.

**What you get**:
Initially offered as a contract role while the new systems are stood up, the role will transfer to a permanent role with:
A competitive salary between £80,000 - £100,000 depending on experience
