Science Teacher / Teacher of Science required in Southwark

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Science lessons. (the school is flexible with specialisms - Physics/ Biology/ Chemistry)
- Successfully manage the behaviour of the class following the school's behaviour policy.
- Foster positive relationships with students by being a role model and ensure students achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the school day and that students achieve the best outcomes.
- Act as an ambassador for Protocol Education by being punctual and professional at all times.
- Hold QTS / QTLS/ or equivalent with a Science / Physics/ Biology/ Chemistry Specialism (Instructors and Unqualified teachers will be considered)
- Have a minimum of 6 months' experience in an educational setting, ideally teaching Science: either Physics/ Biology/ Chemistry
- Are an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to work and build positive rapport with young people.
- Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (an up-to-date DBS that is registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential at this stage).
- Have the ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of your own workload.

All of our supply staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you're paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance and there's no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard earned cash. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available
