**What you'll be doing**
- Carry out network inspections to identify defects and create work orders.
- Carry out site audits, field and network safety inspections.
- Provide routine and specialist surveys, including night lighting patrols.
- Supervise works undertaken by the workforce and subcontractors.
- Provide assistance with the production of road traffic orders.
- Be part of the rota for an out of hours duty officer for winter maintenance and emergency response.
- Maintain road space requirements and Network Occupancy requirements.
- Manage abnormal loads.
- Deputise for the Route Manager when required.
- Assist with the production of a carbon calculator and environmental KPIs.
**Who we're looking for**
- Good communication skills
- **Full driving licence **(essential)**:
- Awareness of highway contracts & works (desirable)
- CSCS, CITB (desirable)
- Willing to work unsociable hours when required.

**The Balfour Beatty DBFO** projects are three highway maintenance projects based at Leeds, Derby and Exeter covering the following routes M1 A1 A50 A30/35
We deliver routine cyclic and winter maintenance, keeping our roads safe and running and deliver over a hundred renewal and repair schemes per year.
