De-boxing/ de-bagging/ de crating
- opening the primal box/bag/crate using the manual handling procedure and dispose of any waste safely following all food hygiene procedures.
Disposing of packaging waste in accordance with the red and clear bag procedure ensuring excellent food hygiene practices.
Stacking
- Removing single products from trays/boxes and stacking in accordance to their type on individual pallets.
To de-crate, butcher, pack and present meat to the required customer specifications and ensure quality and yield is maintained at all times.
Report any health & safety or food hygiene issues to your line leader/supervisor immediately.
When lifting any objects maintain/ensure that correct techniques are employed to prevent personal injury or injury to others. If unsure seek assistance.
Use, clean and maintain the working order of all equipment, and report any faults you were unable to rectify to your supervisor.
To ensure all base webs and top webs are changed according to line and product using the part rolls first.
In the event if any label duplication ensure that the labels are cancelled so yields and stock are not affected.
To understand and have full knowledge of primal identification.
Control to use and changing of the robot as and when necessary to the product running.
Packing/Presenting
- Ensure that when placing product into pods, trays, pre-formed film, it is done in accordance with the customers' standard specifications and you follow the picture specifications.
To control and manage part trays effectively.
To ensure all trim is bagged without any string or netting attached and weighed off to the correct job.
To load/unloading packing and labelling machines with correct firm and labels as per the QA documents folder.
To use the OCM scale in accordance with working practices and ensure the correct information is entered into the OCM at the start of each product run.
Slicing
- Feeding the slicer with templated primal the correct way ensuring that primal is not cut against the grain.
Loaders/Fillers
- Unloading/loading mince from the Wolkking and loading into the Handtmman effectively, following all health, safety and food hygiene procedures.

Willingness and flexibility to perform other tasks and duties that are not 'usually' performed day to day, required for business reasons.
To perform other tasks and duties as requested by your manager.
Adhere to all health and safety and food hygiene standards at all times.
Maintain excellent personal hygiene at all times.
Consider working reasonable overtime as requested by your manager.
Attend training courses that are relevant and appropriate to your tasks and duties, as requested by your manager.

Good communication skills are paramount to this role

Self-motivated and able to develop an excellent knowledge of products
