**Job description**
Curzn Alloys Limited are a family run business that produces high grade alloys in ingot form, de-oxidants as well as graded scrap for different industries. The success of the Company has been built on developing quality products in rapid lead times supported by a focused approach to customer service.
**Responsibilities of our Foundry Operatives will include**:
- Working in a hot metal environment, transferring molten metal from the furnace to the moulds.
- Performing in house tests/analysis to ensure product is produced in line with specifications.
- Quality checks
- General production work (stacking, baling, sorting metals, loading/unloading lorries, etc.,)
- You will be trained in other areas, dependent on how you get on
- Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with Curzn Alloys safety standards and procedures.
- To carry out any other reasonable duty as may be required
**What you’ll need to be considered for this role**
- Previous foundry / sand moulding experience
- The ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- An adaptable and flexible attitude to work
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- A good understanding of health & safety, environmental issues and quality rules
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Contribute to continuous improvement
- To share knowledge and/or best practice with other team members
- Counterbalance FLT licence would be advantageous
- Inspection of completed work to ensure best quality is achieved using the “right first time” approach
- Safety conscious and have a high level of attention to detail
The position is Monday to Friday 7am-5pm, 45hrs per week. Saturday overtime is available, if wanted. You will be paid weekly in arrears on a Thursday. Benefits include - 20 days holiday per year, 8 Statutory Bank Holidays, Company Pension and on-site parking.
