As a Trainee at UHY Ross Brooke you can expect to learn from several highly skilled and experienced Accountancy, Audit and Tax professionals in a friendly and supportive environment.

In this role you will learn how to prepare sole trader, partnership and small limited company accounts, alongside draft tax computations for income and corporation tax. Your development will include managing a portfolio of VAT and bookkeeping clients. Alongside all of this you will be supported to gain your AAT qualifications.

**Tasks**:

- Preparation of accounts from client’s prime records to a draft stage using accounting software (Digita Accounts Production)
- Drafting business tax computations and preparing draft CT600s
- Bookkeeping for clients using spreadsheets or cloud accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
- Preparation of management accounts
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with clients, managers and colleagues
- Reception cover when required
- Complete timesheets on a daily basis

- Business Motor Insurance if required to drive to other premises for work purposes

**System experience**:
Microsoft Office Package and a good IT knowledge.

**Professional Experience**:
No accountancy experience required. Grade (5) or above in GCSE Maths and English. B or above A Levels.
