**Payroll Assistant**

HMW Business Services Ltd is a privately held, Bangor-based accountancy firm that provides accounting, tax and payroll services to a wide range of business based in Northern Ireland and the UK mainland. We are looking for an experienced Accounts and Payroll Assistant to join our team and help with payroll, bookeeping, VAT and accounts preparation. This position at our office in Bangor.

**Responsibilities**
- Process client bookkeeping records
- Prepare VAT returns
- Prepare limited company and sole trade annual accounts
- Process weekly and monthly payroll and resolve any payroll errors
- Ensure that weekly reports are completed and processed timely
- Assist with other related tasks as needed

**Education Requirements**
- GCSE English & Maths
- Must have at least 1 year of accounts and payroll processing experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using cloud based softwares such as Xero and Dext

**Benefits**:

- Flexitime

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
- Payroll: 1 year (required)
