Weighbridge Operator

Pips Skips are looking for a weighbridge operator to join our team based just outside of Norwich. Our weighbridge office is a busy environment with 2 weighbridges so being able to multitask is essential. The working hours are 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays 7am - 12pm. Extra Saturday shifts may be available. A competitive salary will be offered depending on experience. The relevant training will be provided.

The role will include;
- Being first point of contact for our waste transfer station.
- Operation of the weighbridge. Recording and calculating inputs and outputs, producing accurate compliant weighbridge tickets, and directing HGV vehicles to the correct bay.
- Ensuring all customers sign in and are aware of site rules.
- Supplier/ haulier/ vehicle setup in weighbridge systems
- Accurate completion of required site paperwork
- Dealing with all daily issues professionally and liaising with site management on a regular basis
- Report any weighbridge defects to management.
- Assist accounts team in accurate recording of all inbound and outbound transactions for invoicing and reporting purposes.
- Liaising with customers and drivers on site
- Answering inbound calls (providing quotations, taking orders, and speaking to account customers)
- Creating skip orders on our Skiptrak package.
- Taking card payments.
- Carrying out other adhoc duties within the scope of your operation and abilities, as and when required. This may involve helping another department.

Skills required include;
- Must be trustworthy, reliable, and highly motivated with good people skills essential.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Confident communication skills
- Work well under pressure
- Previous weighbridge experience would be desirable but not essential, full training will be provided.
- Proactive, motivated learner who can work independently and in a team.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
