Assistant Librarian

Pro rata of £20,070 - £21,700 per annum (i.e. £9,513.43 - £10,286.07) per annum

20 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (paid for 45.6 weeks)

We are seeking a qualified Librarian to join our library team at Chichester campus. Supporting the College Librarian, you will liaise directly with curriculum staff to provide relevant resources, collection development and research skills training. In liaison with teaching staff, you will ensure that the stock, services and environment of the Library supports student learning.

You should have a CILIP accredited qualification in librarianship or information studies. As a qualified Librarian with proven IT skills, you will have experience of working within a customer focussed library environment. Knowledge of Heritage Cirqa and the use of online learning resources in a further education context is desirable. Qualifications in teaching would be advantageous.

You will enjoy working as part of a team in a busy College Library with fresh challenges on a daily basis and be committed to providing a high standard of service to internal and external customers. Effective communication skills, organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and a flexible and resourceful approach are essential.
