**Management Accountant** - The Role:
Reporting directly to the UK Finance Director, this is a key role within the business, working in

conjunction with the finance team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner

including reporting, payments, and forecasting. Also helping the business to plan, control and monitor performance. The management accountant input should drive the successful growth and prosperity of SPB

**Management Accountant** - Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Finance Director in maintaining the Company’s accounting systems and

records
- Preparing reports or statistical information as required
- Maintaining good relationships with the Company’s corporate bank(s) and insurance

providers under binding authority arrangements
- Managing relationship with the Company’s external accountants, where required
- Maintaining the Company’s invoicing system, both sales and purchase invoices

including the daily processing of such and escalating to the Finance Director in the event

that an inconsistency arises. This is to include regular payment runs as agreed in

advance
- Response and investigation of messages received via the Direct Debit system relating to

cancellations and bank account errors. Overall responsibility of the Direct Debits and

day to day collections
- Day-to-day management of the petty cash float and ensuring adequate funds.
- Journals, including salary postings
- Preparation and submission of statutory returns: VAT/PAYE/ONS/Other
- Provide assistance to colleagues within the Finance Team, including in respect of service

suppliers’ invoices and accounting queries
- Responsible for the preparation of bank account. Ensuring on a daily basis that all

account balances are positive
- Supply monthly premium/claims reports and payments to insurers for whom the
- Company operates under Binding Authority arrangements and assist in the resolution of

any queries that may subsequently be raised by insurers
- Monthly reporting: delivery of monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, for all

businesses and consolidation, in line with Group reporting timetable, and submission on

group systems
- Accruals and prepayments, including posting of revenue
- Journals, including salary postings
- Preparation and presentation of annual budgets, and quarterly reforecasts
- Reconciliation and submission of monthly Bordereaux to underwriters
- Support in the internal investigation of any client invoice or payment queries

**Management Accountant** - You:

- Fully qualified accountant - ACCA or CIMA
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
- Excellent organisational skills
- Intermediate Word and Excel knowledge, including able to use V Lookups and Pivot

- Knowledge of Sage Line50 Cloud would be beneficial
