This company is looking for an experienced Category Manager to join their team. You will spend most of your time looking after the IT spend, with the flexibility to work on other projects across indirect spend categories.
Ideally, you will have knowledge of the IT market and experience with IT Contracts, licensing, software, hardware, payment solutions, apps etc. You will be handling an average yearly spend of £20m.
The procurement function isn’t overly mature, so you won’t be stuck in a cyclical contracting process. Of course, there will be some quick transactional wins, but the majority of your time will be spent on category strategy.
You’ll be driving innovation and transformation within IT spend, which will enable the business to continue growing; testament to the wider business seeing procurement as an enabling function.
There’s also a leadership aspect to the role, with a Procurement Assistant reporting directly into you. This a is a great role if you want to start moving towards team management.
This role offers hybrid working, 80% of your time will be working from home so you can cut down on your commute.
Salary is up to £60k depending on experience.
