We are looking for an experienced Social Worker Practitioner to join the First Response Assessment Team for Leicestershire County Council.

You will join one of the five sub-teams in the Assessment Team and work alongside four other Social Workers and a Team Manager.

You will have a duty week every five weeks where you will need to be based in County Hall so that you can respond to cases requiring immediate safeguarding interventions.

You will also be allocated assessments during this week. For the remaining four weeks, there is the flexibility for hybrid working and you will be expected to progress your assessments that have been allocated to you in this time and progress your recommendations for timely outcomes for Children, Young People and Families.

Essential Requirements:

- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
