**I am urgently looking for 5 Mechanical Fitters to cover 3 sites across Basingstoke.**

**Salary will vary depending on your level of experience.**

**JOB ROLE**:
**Reporting to the Operations Manager you will support our production facilities by performing day-to-day plant up-keeping, reactive and preventive maintenance, supporting new and existing pilot plant work and undertake reconditioning work of plantequipment as well as supporting development and implementation of new production lines. This is a hands-on role, requiring good level of fitness as you will spend time on or around the plant, covering long distances, standing, climbing stairs and ladders,working at heights and access confined spaces.**

**KEY TASKS WILL INCLUDE**:

- Assist the Engineering Manager and Chemical Engineers with new engineering/mechanical developments and implementation including production methods, process flow, selection of machinery, equipment, components, fabrication and tooling.
- Be responsible for preventative, reactive and scheduled maintenance regimes of plant equipment.
- Assist/lead on new engineering/mechanical projects including new installations, modifications to existing plant/processes, which includes design, fabrication procurement, installation, commissioning and debugging.
- Independently manage minor and medium size engineering/mechanical projects.
- Assist the Production Manager in the efficient and safe operation of the production plant and equipment, including production process troubleshooting
- Identify engineering/mechanical improvements with a strong focus on safety, execute process engineering/mechanical improvement projects from start to finish
- Review and implement risk assessments
- Supervise contractors and other personnel on specific jobs and tasks.
- Report and action on Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality related faults, failures and non-conformance's.
- Training and development of production operators
- Maintaining stock of components, fittings, spares, fasteners and liaise with the suppliers in order to obtain these.
