- We are looking for a collaborative, creative individual to join the Public Engagement and Learning team as a Senior Producer, to manage the day-to-day development and delivery of high-quality Public Engagement and Learning programmes.

**Public Engagement and Learning**

Public Engagement and Learning’s award-winning approach is to create innovative programmes which often involve creative partners. This programme aims to share the human impact of conflict and includes Yemen: Say Hello to Connect an installation which takes conversations about the world’s worst crisis to UK public spaces; Rebel Sounds Live which included the UK’s first Syrian Death Metal performance; and We Were There, which gives schools and families the chance to meet people with direct experience of conflict from refugees to victims of terror and aid workers. Our current schools programme includes the Ofsted commended Holocaust Learning Programme at IWM London and IWM North.

**The role will be based at IWM North or IWM London with the expectation that occasional travel to other IWM sites will be required.**

The role of Senior Producer, Public Engagement and Learning will include:

- Being part of a team of Executive Producers, Senior Producers, Producers and Apprentices led by the Assistant Director (Public Engagement and Learning). The department is responsible for delivering high quality participation and formal and informal learning experiences for audiences of all ages, at our 5 branches via various platforms, onsite and online regularly working with external contractors and creatives. The objectives and projects of individuals within this team will be aligned annually with an evolving programme, and staff will be expected to work in a collaborative, creative and agile way to facilitate this.
- Having day to day responsibility for the high-quality delivery of Public Engagement and Learning programmes: working with artists and creative partners; planning and scheduling, developing and delivering high quality content, managing Producer/s and external contractor/s where appropriate, and working collaboratively across the team and IWM.
- Committing to take forward the Public Engagement and Learning Strategy and maintain an active interest in developments in programming and learning for all age groups, incorporating them into IWM best practice wherever appropriate.

**Key duties**

You will be expected to work independently as well as across different teams in order to contribute to and deliver the priorities of IWM - using your knowledge, skills, talent and potential to the best of your ability.

You will focus at all times on delivering excellent customer service, ensure value for money at all times while being professional, courteous and demonstrating the behaviours and attributes expected of all IWM employees. You will also adhere to all corporate standards, and use corporate systems as directed to ensure consistency of service, brand and operational standards.

You will be expected to work across departments effectively, working with individuals, partners and where appropriate volunteers.

To identify and implement development needs for both yourself and your team where appropriate.

**In addition**, your duties will include:

- Working with the Executive Producers to create, develop and deliver distinctive Public Engagement and Learning programmes from idea generation, through concept, interpretation, development and active delivery. This includes working with partners and connecting content between audience groups and cultivating specific areas of development for each.
- Where appropriate, managing elements of projects and assigning work where relevant to Producer/s, and/or external contractors; recruiting and developing a team of external contractors and freelancers to provide advice/consultancy/delivery where appropriate, ensuring the team possess a range of skills and reflect the mix of needs and provision of the assigned programme and projects. This includes but is not limited to high-quality large-scale events, families and schools activities and sessions, resources, and initiatives for all audiences.
- Where relevant, line-manage Producer/s within the team to deliver the programme in line with the Public Engagement and Learning Strategy and performance frameworks.
- Working with Executive Producers to pilot, test, evaluate and continually develop a seasonal approach to programming, working in tandem with teams across IWM, such as exhibitions and events teams to develop public engagement through a shared approach.
