We are currently working with a world-leading developer of sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies. They have over 25 years' experience in their specialist field and have built strong alliances with research institutions around the world to expandon their knowledge.
They are currently looking for a chemistry or related graduate to join their expanding R&D team. The role will primarily be involved with the company's performance based additive product range and perform other R&D activities reporting to the Associate Scientist.
**Job Duties**:

- Determining metal species in plastic products via XRF Spectroscopy
- Identification of polymer type and composition using FT-IR Spectroscopy
- Aging and stability testing of plastic products
- Conduct and report experimental work
- Conduct literature reviews
- Assist the sales and technical team coordinating receipt of test samples from customers
- Process all test samples in accordance with company procedure
- Communicating test results

**Job Requirements**:

- Experience from university or in industry of working with XRF / FT-IR is beneficial
- Data analysis and report writing skills
- Hard working and self-motivated, with excellent time keeping skill
