Staff365 are recruiting for an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator on a permanent basis for our manufacturing client located in Barnsley, Tankersley.

A competitive salary up to £30,000

Full time position (37.5 hrs per week)

25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)

**Duties will include but not limited to**:
Support in developing and maintaining compliant HSE policies, procedures, and other resources.

Drive process improvement initiatives in support of HSE performance.

Monitor, maintain and report on contractor safety and compliance.

Coordinate the HSE incident reporting and investigation framework and provide regular reports to the HSE Management team.

Conduct HSE Audit inspections across site and manage corrective actions accordingly.

Lead the creation of the HSE training portfolio and provide evidence of competency and learnings across the business.

Support and chair monthly HSE Meetings.

Manage HSE legal registers and actively participate in the legal compliance of all business processes along with collating evidentiary documentation.

Providing support and guidance on compliance with the requirements of ISO45001 and 14001.

Support and promote a safe workplace environment without risk to health.

Ensure that all accidents and incidents are documented and investigated, and recommended improvements implemented.

Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

**Skills / Experience required**:
Technical knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment disciplines.

NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification or willing to work towards (desired)

IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)

Incident investigation.

Managing and co-ordinating H&S processes in a manufacturing environment.

Managing H&S inspections and supporting/hosting audits.

Competence in site risk management and maintaining risk controls to a legally compliant standard & experience in developing risk management systems would be desirable.

Solutions focused, with strong problem-solving skills.

Good listening and communication skills, including verbal and written.

Customer-centric, being professional, compassionate, and understanding towards customer needs.

Ability to work autonomously and as a member of the team as required.

Manage time effectively, willing to work to tight deadlines when necessary.

Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and be a team player, proactive, positive, and enthusiastic.
