Spire South Bank Hospital in Worcester has an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team as part of our Staffing Bank.

Spire South Bank Hospital has been in operation for 30 years providing quality private healthcare to the local population and beyond, earning a reputation as a leader in Worcestershire. We work with some of the areas most experienced Consultant Surgeons, Anaesthetists and Physicians to deliver tailored, personalised care. We are proud of the positive patient feedback we receive and are currently undertaking refurbishment of our in-patient bedrooms following significant recent investment.

**Accountabilities**
- Routine tasks related to patient's health and well-being.
- Production and communication of information and knowledge
- Contribute to own personal development.
- Assist in maintaining own and others' health and safety and security.
- Assist in maintaining and developing services.
- Ensure own actions help to maintain quality.
- Ensure own actions support equality, diversity and rights.
- Move patients, surgical equipment and goods.
- Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.

**Activities include -**
- Liaise with theatre team regarding the organisation of theatre lists
- Escort patients to and from the theatre department with a registered practitioner
- Provide patient support within the anaesthetic room
- Ensure specified equipment within theatres is clean and in safe working order
- Transport equipment as delegated by the theatre team
- Circulate in theatre supporting the surgical team and ensure that the theatre documentation is completed.

About the Team: Spire South Bank Hospital has over 30 years' experience providing quality private healthcare to patients from Worcestershire, Herefordshire north Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds and the West Midlands.
