Job overview

The post holder will be based at Nottingham University Hospitals. This encompasses Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham City Campus, Nottingham/Nottinghamshire Community and Rope Walk House and will be expected to undertake a range of placements across other healthcare providers.

The academic element is provided by University of Derby and is a mix of face to face (at the Kedelston Road Campus in Derby) and remote or individual learning activities.

The role requires that you successfully complete and pass the academic and practice elements of the programme as specified by Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH), University of Derby (UoD), and Nursing and Midwifery Council.

This post is full time with annual leave based on the academic calendar of the University of Derby.

Main duties of the job

The programme is 50% theory and 50% practice based.

Clinical placements will encompass community, antenatal and postnatal experiences, and labour ward/birth centres within the Nottingham Region.

They will be able to travel to UoD Kedleston Rd campus (in Derby) for theory, attend placements in the Nottingham region and work the full range of shifts as a supernumerary MSc midwifery student.

The posts will be offered as a seconded, fixed term contract.

They will be able to travel to Kedleston Rd, UoD campus, Derby for theory, attend placements in the Nottingham region and work the full range of shifts as a supernumerary MSc midwifery student.

- 6 months acute experience post registration
