Estimator/buyer

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Buyer to join our team. They will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and preparing cost estimates for construction projects.

**Duties**:

- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accuracy of estimates
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Maintain records of estimates, costs, and project details

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as an Estimator/Buyer in the construction industry
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of cost control techniques

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cleator Moor, Cumbria: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Estimating: 3 years (required)
- Buying: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
