The team work together to deliver the following:

- provide access to school places by implementing the school admission process
- supporting parents/carers, local school partners and other agencies by answering queries and providing advice relating to school admissions, home to school transport, current legislation and appeals processes

You will be part of a team of friendly and supportive colleagues, dealing with a high volume of enquiries and working with a range of partners. We offer the opportunity work agilely (e.g. work from home for the majority of the working week) once training and development has been completed.

We are looking for individuals with a strong commitment to customer care who can communicate in a calm and professional way whilst being sensitive to the issues facing families and colleagues who are requesting information and help.

The role requires excellent organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise workloads, the prioritisation of non-standard tasks, work accurately, be organised under pressure, work to tight deadlines and be resilient to the demands and pressures of the role.

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which all of our employees will move on to. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We’re hoping to implement these changes in 2024 and all colleagues joining us will be included in these changes.
