An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and numerate individual to work as an Accounts Assistant within the Accounts Payable Team based in the Finance Department.

The key characteristic of the Accounts Payable Team is to deliver a high quality service underpinned by professionalism and first class customer care.

As a member of the team you will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers’ invoices and credit notes are processed promptly and accurately in accordance with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instruction’s, internal office procedures and the statutory obligation to ensure compliance with the Better Payment Practice Code (BPPC).

Accounts Payable

**Data Entry**:

- To input invoices onto the Accounts Payable System ensuring they are processed against the relevant purchase order and VAT is reclaimed appropriately.
- To input credit notes onto the Accounts Payable System ensuring they are processed against the relevant purchase order and VAT is reclaimed appropriately.
- To receipt goods on the Purchase Order System.
- To match invoices against the relevant GRN and pass for payment on the Accounts Payable System.

Scanning
- To ensure all invoices and credit notes that are processed and scanned and uploaded in a timely manner onto the Accounts Payable System.

**Accounts Payable Enquiries**:

- To be the first point of contact for supplier’s and triage their queries to the relevant person.
