Your New School
A medium-sized primary school in Central Cardiff is recruiting for a new 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full time basis working in the Foundation Phase.
This position will commence on 27th February and will be until the end of the academic year. The school has over 350 pupils of an age range between 3 and 11 years old. It possesses a strong connection to the local community and a warm and welcoming environmentfor staff and pupils alike.
Your New Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your role will include, but is not limited to:

- Providing assistance to a pupil in year 1 with ASD.
- Helping the class teacher in their planning of lessons with 1:1 assistance in mind.
- Build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Provide additional assistance to the class teacher where necessary.
In order to be considered for this position, you must have a desire to work with children in the Foundation Phase who have Additional Learning Needs.
You must also have:

- Recent and referenceable experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school (previous two years).
- A resilient attitude and experience in dealing with challenging work in the classroom setting.
- Been registered with the EWC or be prepared to do so.
- Will hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake one.
