About the Role:
As a Material Planner, you will support the business objectives by creating purchase plans that enable the department to meet sales, inventory and customer service targets. You will manage materials in accordance with internal planning cycle needs and external customer needs by checking stock, raising purchase orders, daily checking for potential shortages/overdue items whilst coordinating inbound scheduling requirements.

About the Team/Department

You will work with a team of 7 Finished Good Planners and Material Planners within SC Johnsons Professionals European headquarters and manufacturing facility located in Denby. You will also work closely with the Quality and RD&E teams as well as key stakeholders across the business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creating purchase plans to meet sales, inventory, and customer service targets
- Reporting materials availability to Finished Goods Planners and Schedulers.
- Maintain and develop appropriate supplier relationships alongside the purchasing and quality teams, particularly with nominated partnership suppliers
- Work within set parameters and planning rules to optimise inventory and reduce waste in all areas of the supply chain, and achievement of targets set for this area
- Maintain data accuracy to allow efficient and clear working of day-to-day activities and processes

Experience you’ll bring:

- Strong Excel skills
- Experience of managing supplier relationships
- Previous planning experience
