EPUT is looking to appointment Faith and Spirituality Network Co-ordinator to provide administrative support and work in conjunction with the Lead Chaplain and Chair of the Trust faith and spirituality staff equality network and Medical Director/Executive Sponsor for the network.

The purpose of the network is to work with staff of all faith to enable them to practice spirituality and their faith and to give staff of all faith, religious and spiritual groups a means to raise collective issues and concerns in relation to their employment, consult with staff on employment policies, practices and strategies and co-design solutions with the Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the development of the work plan for the next 12 months, promoting and developing the Faith and Spirituality Network.

The post holder will be expected to work accurately under pressure with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload in line with objectives of the network.

The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with key partner organisations, internal and external stakeholders and maintain a professional image of the Trust at all times. In delivering their duties the post holder will be expected to display behaviours that are aligned with the Trust values and as required in accordance with the NHS Constitution at all times.

What is Staff Bank?

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

- To support in the development of the 12 month work plan for the network.
- To promote the visibility of the service across the Trust to ensure it is available for all staff of all faiths.
- To collaborate with the communications team to develop the Trust intranet pages on faith and spirituality.
- Coordinate and arrange the annual conference which is held in November
- Coordinate training events.
- To support the implementation of any recommendations from the staff survey that relate to faith and spirituality.
- To prepare, routine correspondence and reports on behalf of the Lead Chaplain and Chair of the network in accordance to agreed priorities to feed in to senior Trust leadership meetings.
- To be responsible for preparing notification of meetings, producing and circulating agendas, papers and formal minute taking as appropriate.
- To be responsible for ordering necessary stationary and another stock required.
- To manage own workloads.
- Assist in the production/circulation/collation and response to the staff faith survey. This will include analysing the responses from the survey and putting it into a form that is easy to understand in to be included in reports e.g. statistical information, charts, etc. which will be submitted to the network and senior meetings.
- Assist in the production/circulation/collation and response to Trust multi-faith room provision. This will involve the post holder travelling to all sites across the Trust and undertaking assessments of the faith facilities available.
- Support and liaise with Trust staff representatives.
- Assist with information gathering and dialogue with other Trusts to ensure parity or exceeding of staff faith provision compared with other Trusts.
- To assist with co-production of events/gatherings with other Trust staff faith networks and teams.
- To collaborate with communications and chaplaincy teams to develop the audio and video staff faith support and provision.
- Assist with resolving disparity with faith spiritual care of varied Trust locations.
- Experience of communicating in an environment where information can be contentious and sensitive and there may be barriers to understanding.
- The post holder must have the ability to work on own initiative and independently as contact with the line manager will be incidental and limited.
