About the Company:
Our client is a global developer of renewable energy and energy storage, with an extensive pipeline of solar, wind, and battery projects in the UK, USA, and Africa. The company was established in 2017, building on the founding team's experience in the solarindustry since 2010.
They have set industry-leading standards for biodiversity and ecological enhancement, agricultural use, community and educational benefits, and shared or community ownership. With offices based in Wiltshire and London, the UK team is currently working on multipleutility-scale and commercial projects, including solar rooftops, electric vehicle charging and standalone battery storage, with a commitment to an ethical, sustainable supply chain.
The Role:
Based in Wiltshire as an Accounting Intern, you will support the Financial Controller on range of financial functions, including the following:

- Day to day management of the group’s accounting, including invoice processing, bill payments, reconciliations, payroll reporting, timesheets and general maintenance of accounting systems
- Budgeting and cash flow management on a project by project and consolidated basis
- Preparation of quarterly management accounts
- Preparation of quarterly information required by stakeholders (such as NYGB)
- Maintenance of key financial data to support statutory filings
- Liaising with US accountants to ensure accurate quarterly reporting and tax declarations
- Supporting investors with tax and accounting queries and updates
- Supporting the CEO with statutory legal obligations such as Deeds of Amendments, loan agreements and tax structuring
- Supporting the CFO with valuation modelling
- Supporting the COO on project disposals, including buyer follow ups to track staged payments
- Supporting project managers and coordinators with project related finance queries
- Completion of statutory accounts and submission of all required returns in the US and UK
- Working with US auditor to provide information required for statutory audit

About You:

- You have relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated, proactive and eager to learn
