**Purpose of Job**:
The job of the Finance Assistant is to assist in the preparation of weekly payroll (no Payroll knowledge required) assist with Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.

**Principle Accountabilities**:
Supports the monthly, weekly payments of PAYE and C.I.S sub-contractor wages and expenses. Support purchase and sales ledger areas at busy times. Full training will be given.

**Detailed Responsibilities**:
Providing general administrative duties in support of the weekly PAYE & CIS payroll;
- Updating of Excel and CSV files on a weekly basis
- Adding timesheet information on to master spreadsheet
- Adding expense claim amounts to master spreadsheet
- Ad hoc duties as and when required for business / accounting purposes
- Other general administrative duties as required and associated directly to the job role or the accounts function

**Required Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications and Training**:

- An intermediate knowledge of Excel, using formulas and data analysis sets
- Outstanding attention to detail and strong administration skills
- Have a professional telephone manner and good customer service skills
- Interpersonal skills, with a willingness to support immediate team members
- Conscientious, confident, hardworking, team player
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility
- Good team player, willing to share knowledge and ideas and to learn from team members.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
