We are seeking to appoint a Housekeeperto join our dedicated team at our Early Phase Unit in Manchester. You’ll need to have a friendly disposition, enjoy a busy environment and have some face to face, customer service experience.

The focus of this role is to provide comprehensive support to clinical staff and patients while resident and to ensure volunteer dietary needs are met in line with protocol requirements. Undertake minimum Basic Life Support training provided by MAC.

This role will involve general shift work in line with study and patient requirements and will include days, evenings and weekend work

**KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- Customer and food service experience
- Hold Food Hygiene Certification or willing to attend course to obtain certification

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Patient Welfare**:

- Provide volunteers with Breakfast, Lunch and Evening meal as required.
- Ensure all food and drinks given meet with protocol allowed requirements.
- Ensure hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, dining room and surrounded areas are kept to a high standard.
- Monitoring stock levels of food products and communicating to the clinical operations team when further stock is needed.
- Develop and review menus with the assistance of the clinical operations team.
- Shopping for food when required.
- General housekeeping of patient areas i.e changing of bedding, laundry.
- Welcome patients into the clinic and optimise patient experience.
- Prioritise and promote patient safety.
- Deal courteously and professionally with patients and customers and ensure all feedback is communicated to the clinical operations team.
- Having a good understanding of protocols to ensure patients understand the clinical procedures and timings.

**Data Management**:

- Ensure accurate data recording in line with GCP and ALCOA+ principles.
- Completion of CRF’s and source documentation, including online data capture systems where needed.
- Scanning of training certificates to quality control and ensure training folder is kept up to date and relevant training updated as required.
- Compliance with MAC health and Safety policy

**General**:

- Support and be aware of the workload of others and provide assistance where necessary.
- Compliance with MAC policy on equality and diversity
- To maintain professional qualifications required for the role, including continuous personal development
- To work to the requirements of SI 2004 no 1031 and amendments thereof, which includes Good Clinical Practice
- To work according to MAC SOPs, guidelines and policies
- To work according to current data protection standards and practice good information management. Maintenance of strict confidentiality of patient and business related data.
- To maintain a high level of initiative and personal responsibility, liaising appropriately with team members and managers to ensure your job role is efficiently carried out
- To support the aims of MAC and to represent MAC appropriately in a professional way to all our customers.
