Calling all HR professionals
One of our clients, with whom we have a long-standing relationship, is searching for an experienced, capable individual to take on the role of HR Advisor. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will be responsible for all matters relating to attraction,recruitment, and engagement of season and adhoc permanent recruitment. This role would be perfect for a seasoned HR professional looking to make a change into a friendly, tight-knit team. Our client is a flexible employer who are looking for an emotionallyintelligent individual with a sense of humour and commitment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
First and foremost, the HR Advisor must help ensure that the Human Resource department is held in the highest regard in terms of knowledge, reliability, forward thinking, and general service to the business. In addition to this, the role covers a variety ofduties:
Attraction
- Support the HR Manager with all attraction materials, from posters to publishing adverts, and ensure all such recruitment materials are reflective of the brand and legally compliant.
- Design and attend career events to promote the company.
- Act as the primary gatekeeper for all recruitment, both online and paper recruitment, and ensure all applicants have the best positive experience throughout all steps in the process.
Recruitment
- To interview and appoint successful applicants in line with the company's requirements, ensuring that sufficient lead time is provided.
- Ensure each employee's right to work documentation is correct and up to date.
Induction
- Conduct inductions for staff in accordance with relevant legal requirements.
- Ensure that the inductions are engaging and enjoyable for all attendees.
Employee Relations
- Support the HR Manager through chairing and note-taking on employee related matters when required.
- Handling queries in the absence of the HR manager.
- Support with writing and updating policies at the source and on the internal shared drive.
General
- Compile and communicate monthly reports, including information such as turnover, absences, LTS, and recruitment information.
- Support the needs of the department where needed - from the HR Administrator and their duties to training.
- To ensure that the HR department is well networked with other local businesses, ensuring they are the employer of choice in the area.
