Kitchen Porter

At **Madeleine's Kitchen** we recreate recipes from home and all over the world using locally sourced ingredients to sell in our Delicatessen located in the beautiful South Downs National Park market town of Petersfield.

At our Bakehouse in Steep Marsh we have a kitchen team producing the delicious fresh Deli Counter produce for our Delicatessen. We are recruiting for a full time permanent **Kitchen Porter / Driver** working 40 hours a week between 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday daytime only. The position would suit someone seeking a busy and varied role within a friendly and progressive team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring the kitchen and surrounding areas is always kept organised and at the highest standard of cleanliness.
- Delivering the food to our Deli retail outlet in Petersfield.
- Assisting with basic food preparation.
- Washing up of all equipment, pots and pans used by chefs to make our fresh food.
- Maintaining, rotating, and labelling accurately dry and fridge stocks.

**Experience and Skills needed**:

- Experience of working in a commercial kitchen (Desirable training provided).
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (Essential or to be gained within role).
- Food Allergy & Intolerance Certificate (Essential or to be gained within role)
- Confident driver with clean licence (Essential).
- Have a strong interest and love of food.
- Be enthusiastic to learn and develop new skills.
- Excel when working as part of a team.
- Be punctual and reliable with a professional attitude.
- Have excellent communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour
