Funeral Operative. A Bristol based funeral director is looking for Funeral Operatives and Mortuary Operatives to join the team.
The Funeral Operative will be tasked with a multitude of duties in this varied role. The Funeral Operative will attend funerals, drive vehicles, bearer duties funeral service duties and duties back at the company headquarters.
The Funeral Operative salary is £21k, 8:30-17:00 Monday to Friday with chapel duties on a rota which include later finishes at 19:00 and one Saturday morning 9:00-12:00 a month. There are also compulsory rota duties, which involve team on call rota, normally 2-3 nights a week every other week which generate a further £4500-5000 per annum on top of the £21k.

The Funeral Operative will need a flexible approach to hours and a mature outlook on life, and death.

The Funeral Operative will ideally have funeral or relevant industry experience. If no funeral experience, training can be given although any experience of death or care jobs, or end of life care related experience can be helpful.

The Mortuary Operative position works the same but with more time in the mortuary.

The Funeral Operative is a full time position, although part time (3 full days a week) are available as well as per funeral positions.

The Funeral Operative salary is £21k + £4.5-5k on call + benefits
