We are currently looking for a Finance Controller to join the Finance team at our Head Office in Lutterworth.
The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the day to day activities of the management accounts & accounts payable functions. Lead the accurate production of management accounts, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts. Review, challenge and developthe financial reporting in line with the business objectives.
Line management and development of the management accounts and accounts payable team and ensuring the delivery of their responsibilities and objectives.

Responsibilities include:

- Lead the financial control, accounts payable.
- Overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters including audit systems.
- Lead, contribute and present the monthly management accounts process.
- Ensure the P&L, balance sheets & cash flows are reviewed & submitted on time.
- Identify and present P&L and Cashflow opportunities.
- Ensure statutory accounting policies and procedures are in place
- Assist in the annual budget process and ensure submission in line with group cycles
- Review all financial controls, processes, and systems. Ensuring they are adequate and in-line with group policies.
- Create and implement first class cash flow management, forecasting, reporting & treasury
- Oversee the payroll process
- Tax governance & optimisation including process, systems & controls (VAT, Corp Tax etc.)
- Optimise cyclical & ad-hoc reporting to support decision making, forecasting & planning
- Ensure processes are in place to regularly review financial performance across the company
- Lead response to external audits and ensure there are no surprises
- Contribute to local and group projects and initiatives
- Able to think strategically, execute methodically & have high level of energy & commitment
- Strong analytical skills, ability to identify & solve ambiguous problems & design models
- High attention to detail & ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrable ability to coordinate projects across functional teams & matrix resource pools
- Ability to solve problems & translate market trends into business opportunities
- Possesses a solid understanding of financial software
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
- 3+ years at Senior Management level
