**HAYWARD HAWK** is happy to be working with a specialist global tech company headquartered in Belfast that is currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to support the Finance team and CFO.

**The role**

As an Assistant Accountant within a small Finance team, you will provide financial support to the Finance team and CFO for all group companies. This role would suit an experienced Finance Admin / Finance Assistant who would like to join a global tech company headquartered in Belfast.

**The Duties**
- Daily bank reconciliations for all group companies
- Post bank entries and reconcile balance, including foreign denominated bank balances
- Manage Sales and Purchase ledger for all group companies
- Complete bookkeeping for all trading entities to Trial Balance
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Posting of monthly wages journal
- Process prepayments and accruals
- Reconcile all balance sheet items including trade debtors and creditors, loans, intercompany accounts, PAYE and VAT
- Credit Control - liaising with customers, suppliers and internal teams re. queries
- Business, government and INI surveys as required
- Assisting with audit queries, general business queries and actively contributing to business process improvement
- Maintain work schedules including carefully organised and filed support documentation, reports, invoices, schedules etc

**The Person**

To be considered for this position you will have:

- Strong experience in a comparable role such as Assistant Accountant / Finance Assistant / Finance Admin in a busy environment
- Experience with Sage
- A self-starter who can work well in a small team and assist other finance team members when required
- Pro-active approach with strong communication skills
- Experience with multiple currency accounts / subsidiaries would be desirable
