Porter

Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Porter to join our Facilities Management team at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.

**The role**:

- Reporting to the Logistics Manager
- Carry out portering duties such as moving items around building, setting up for events and functions, providing and delivery equipment, posting notices, changing clock timings, etc.
- Take responsibility for the loading bay, overseeing deliveries and all activities in the area
- Ensure all deliveries are signed for and stored neatly and safely in the designated areas
- Liaise with other departments such as Helpdesk and Domestics to ensure satisfactory service delivery
- Assist with collecting and delivering post, packages and files to and from other locations
- Working 40 hours per week from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday with a one hour unpaid break

**The person**:

- Experience in a similar customer service environment essential
- Ability to prioritise workload and tasks is important
- Previous experience in manual handling (using trolleys/lifting equipment) is an advantage, although training will be given
- Willingness to learn and capacity to see tasks through to completion
- Good communication skills together with a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to changing needs
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, and facilities services beneficial
- Please note - Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a valid passport.
