Financial Administrator

**Background**
This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic fast paced environment that will sit as a member of the back-office team within Kids Zone Nursery Group. You would be working in a complex high-profile setting dealing with a variety of stakeholders across different areas of the business with a focus on performing financial duties that will help support the accounts office running smoothly and efficiently. Effective multitasking and a unique ability to handle the unexpected are essential for this position.
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company and legislative policies.
- Maintain and focus on continuous improvement, standardising processes, and streamlining where possible
- Support and assist our Account Manager with payroll ensuring key information is communicated accurately
- Receives and audits invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitors expenditure, processes of payment requests
- Supporting and assist the Director, Area Manager and Accountant with projects as required
**Requirement and skills**:
- Proven experience as a Finance office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to both internal and external customers
- Excellent organisation skills
- Ability to utilise own initiative
- Familiarity with office management procedures and accounting principles
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Office management software
- At least one years experience of working within a finance role
- Knowledge experience of using an accounting system/preferably Quickbooks
- Process customer payments, assist in credit control
- Assist with the gathering of payroll information. Payroll processing/knowledge advantages
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Willingness and ability to function as part of a small team
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures and guidelines with accuracy and high attention to detail;
**Other**
- Industry knowledge not essential
- Level 2 or above Bookkeeping
- AAT qualified (desired but not essential)
- A disclosure check with the Disclosure & Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Expected hours: 16 - 25 per week
