Payroll Administrator

A great opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join a business based in Pickering, North Yorkshire. Hourly rate £11.24 per hour, depending on experience, as well as 33 days holiday (including bank holidays and length of service programme), attractive and flexible working hours - 37 per week, life assurance, discounts portal and further. This role also offers in house training and progression opportunities.

This is a great, multi-skilled opportunity for someone to progress into and will mainly focus on areas of payroll administration, as well as additional, general finance responsibilities to support the wider team, including finance admin, ledgers and reconciliation, as well as other duties.

Key responsibilities for the Payroll Administrator will include:

- Assisting with overall payroll duties for circa 800 employees, for both monthly and weekly pay frequencies
- Inputting of data to the payroll system
- Processing and monitoring of various financial transactions
- Reconciliation of data
- General administration and other ad hoc duties, as required

To be successful in this Payroll Administrator role, you will:

- Have previous payroll experience
- Have excellent team working skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously too
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Have experience using software such as SAP, Xero, SAGE or similar would be advantageous, but not essential

We are especially keen to speak with individuals who have experience in payroll and payroll processes. Ideally, you will be a Payroll Administrator or Payroll Assistant seeking a new challenge or a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Accounts Administrator where payroll has been part of your role and you are wishing to pursue this further. You may also be a skilled Administrator or Admin Clerk, with payroll experience.

Based in Pickering, this role is commutable from Scarborough, Filey, Driffield, Pocklington, York, Helmsley, Malton, and surrounding areas. Car parking is available on-site.
