Castle Water has an exciting opportunity for an **Analyst** to work in our dynamic **Operations team**. We’re only looking for the best people to join our tight-knit team and contribute to its success. Strategically important and central to the success of the business, this unique role is varied and offers plenty of opportunity for personal development and achievement.

Whilst someone with water market industry or similar experience (e.g. in another utility or network industry) would be advantageous, it is not essential. The key requirement is for someone who can learn quickly and is able to pick up new concepts. We’re looking for a highly numerate problem solver possessing the skills necessary to analyse and interpret big data.

Up for a challenge and with a questioning mind, you shouldn’t be phased by new concepts, complexity, or detail. We need someone who is a team player, but also a self-starter who can work independently without close supervision. Someone adaptable and with initiative, who is comfortable managing and making sense of large data sets. Someone able to understand and follow operational processes. Someone who wants to develop and grow with our business.

This is a permanent opportunity with an immediate start date. We offer a hybrid working model where most roles can be undertaken through a combination of home and office working.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Managing our interfaces and inputs to market systems and data
- Interpreting and analysing data/ transactions
- Identifying patterns, trends and presenting actionable insights from analysing large datasets
- Informing & guiding business process design
- Investigating and reporting of transaction issues
- Evaluating and responding to complex queries from relevant stakeholders
- Contributing to wider change/projects/initiatives

**Key Skills and experience**
- Team Player
- Highly numerate
- Intermediate experience with MS packages
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power BI knowledge would be an advantage
- Detail orientation to ensure accuracy of data
- Problem solving and initiative to resolve issues that may occur
- Strong analytical skills to review a variety of data and identify discrepancies or missing information
- Able to work effectively with mínimal support
- Data / Business Analyst background desirable
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
