The Best Connection is looking for a CNC Programmer/Operator for one of our clients based in Cardiff Area. Moday to Friday only. Shift times 08:00 - 16:30. This is a permanent position for the right person. Due to the location and start time of the business own transport is needed.

**As a CNC programmer / operator, you will have to**:

- Achieve daily production targets as per production schedule
- Reporting all deficiencies and issues concerning Health & Safety, your working environment, equipment, and quality to your line manager
- Assisting in the factory’s program of continuous improvement
- Maintaining and cleaning CNC machinery daily
- Conducting machinery checks and adjustments in preparation for aluminium window and door fabrication, including calibrations for accuracy of machine operation
- High attention to detail to ensure measurements are accurate to prevent mistakes and wastage
- Checking and inspecting the product for any damage or imperfections in the extrusion/paintwork both before and after machining
- Completing audit documentation and following audit procedures
- Attending production/planning meetings
- Programming CNC machine for new jobs and bespoke solutions as required
- Managing CNC/machining operative’s workload to ensure production targets are met

It is essential that you have previous experience operating CNC machinery. Also, knowledge of aluminium window/door/curtain wall systems and ability to read technical drawings and interpret design intent will be needed to fulfil the needs of the position.

**Benefits & Requirements**:

- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
