**Purchase Administrator**
Essential Personnel are delighted to be working with a brilliant company, based in **East Manchester, **who are advertising for a **Purchase Administrator.**
As a **Purchase Administrator**, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, products, and services required for the company’s operations. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that purchases are made in a cost-effective and timely manner, while maintaining quality standards. This role involves administrative tasks, supplier management, and process optimisation.
This role is required to work closely with other teams within the business; as well as the production support function which includes scheduling administrator and the stores team.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Create, review, and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and budgets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, assisting with evaluating vendor performance.
- Working closely with the Stores team to monitor stock levels, identify shortages or surpluses, and coordinate replenishment orders and/or returns where required. Utilising company software and coordinating with other departments within the business.
- Maintain comprehensive records of purchases and shortages, in line with company policy to allow for accurate reporting to be completed.
- Generate reports on procurement metrics and present findings to management.
- Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
38 hours per week over 4 days. Working hours at Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 17:30pm.
**Required Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with Suppliers and other Departments.
- Excellent working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience in a similar role.
