**Job Title: Unqualified 1:1 Teaching Assistant**

**Location: Multiple Mainstream Settings Across Bolton**

**Contract: Zero Hours Contract; Flexible Hours - Part Time and Full Time Positions Available.**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Supporting Within Classroom Setting**:Provide support to the teaching staff, in delivering lessons to those you are providing 1:1 support to, tailoring lesson plans to suit the individual’s needs.

**Providing 1:1 Support To Student**:Whether in a classroom setting or around the educational facility, ensuring the child you are working with feels support and guidance from yourself at all times.

**Student Engagement**:Build positive relationships to allow engagement from the student, to foster a positive learning environment and ensure their individual needs are met.

**Behaviour Management Strategies**: Using effective strategies to overcome challenges the student may face within education. Supporting the student to learn ways to manage their emotions and behaviours, to allow them to fulfil their potential.

**Administrative Tasks**:Completing any administrative tasks require of you, including record-keeping and providing any information required to those completing reports to support the student.

**Working Collaboratively**:Working closely with the school in which you are providing Specialist Supply Support to, to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum, and support to the pupil.

**Requirements**:
The Children and Young People we support have a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), and are identified as at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. Therefore, this can be a challenging role but one of the most rewarding.

Although TA Qualifications are not necessary, we are looking for people who hold the following:

- Previous experience working with Children and Young People.
- Grade 4 or above in English & Maths (or equivalent)
- A passion for going above and beyond for Children & Young People and the individual needs they have.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to understand not every day is a challenge.
- Be excited about each day bringing something new to the table.
- Calm, understanding and empathetic.
- Engage with the children by modelling positive relationships.
- Willingness to learn about the Children and Young People you are working with, to support them to reach their full potential.
- Right to Work in the UK.
