Job description

Ealing Council apprenticeship service have six exciting opportunities for Ealing residents who are enthusiastic and highly motivated.

We are looking for applicants who are interested in working in the public sector to make a difference by meeting the needs of a diverse community.

Apprenticeships are a great way to learn a range of new skills, knowledge and behaviours while working on the job. As an apprentice, you will get paid to work at Ealing council and will be fully supported to achieve your apprenticeship, with the potential to progress onto the next level or into a new role.

To successfully start an Ealing council apprenticeship, you will have to pass four competitive stages, followed by final background and reference checks.

- School attendance apprentice - Level 3 business administration standard
- Housing solutions apprentice - Level 3 business administration standard
- Regeneration, investment and jobs apprentice - Level 3 business administration standard
- Youth support worker apprentice - Level 3 youth worker standard
- Management information systems apprentice - Level 3 data technician standard
- Section 106 apprentice - Level 3 business administration standard
- You are a resident of the London Borough of Ealing (proof of residency will be checked)
- You attended a school in the London Borough of Ealing, or have valid GCSEs or equivalent obtained at an Ealing school within the past 3 years (proof of will be required)
- You attended a college in the London Borough of Ealing (college registration will be checked)
- The London Borough of Ealing is your corporate parent (care leavers).

**Please note the additional eligibility criteria**:

- You must be aged 16 years or over, unless the role profile states otherwise
- If you are in year 11 then you cannot start an apprenticeship until after your last official school day
- Hold a British or European passport or have indefinite leave to remain in the UK
- You cannot undertake an apprenticeship in the same skills area if you already have the equivalent level of qualification
- Under the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974 you must disclose any spent or unspent convictions. There are some service areas that will not be able to consider CV’s where there are spent or unspent cautions or convictions. However, many of these apprenticeship placements can be considered, only if these are declared.

Mandatory screening workshop, at Ealing council**:Thursday 4 July, 9.30am till 2pm**
