**MECHANIC/FITTER**

**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: Plant Manager

**Primary Responsibilities**

Ÿ Carry out servicing, repair and maintenance on company equipment including mixers, pumps, winches and silos.

Ÿ Inspect mixer mechanical/electrical components to assess works required and to diagnose faults and remedies required.

Ÿ Repair or replace broken or defective parts and resolve defects.

Ÿ Carry out required function testing of equipment.

Ÿ Assist in mobilisation and set up of all plant and equipment

Ÿ Work under the supervision of company Workshop Manager

Ÿ Complete all service sheets and associated paperwork as required.

Ÿ Carry out basic fabrication skills including small welding tasks.

Ÿ Be prepared to occasionally deploy to various sites to carry out maintenance and repair activities.

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment
- Know, understand, communicate and ensure compliance with the safety regulations (Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and Code) and safety policies and procedure concerning maintenance and repair activities.
- Comply with the Company’s and where appropriate the Client’s Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Procedures
- Ensure that all Quality and operational procedures as identified in the Company’s QA Manuals are adhered to at all times.
- Report all safety related issues and monitor compliance of HSE standards in the workshop and yard area.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**

Ÿ Possess relevant Fitter qualification.

Ÿ Experience of electrically powered plant, pneumatic controls and hydraulics.

Ÿ Knowledge of concrete delivery pipework/valve arrangements beneficial

Ÿ Knowledge of health and safety requirements and standards

Ÿ Previous experience working within an offshore organisation beneficial

**Salary**: £30,000.00 per year

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Livingston, EH54 5PQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
