Despatch Operative

**POSITION**:Despatch operative

**REPORTING TO**: Supervisor/Manager

Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off work Pattern 6 am to 18:00 hours

Salary £11.51 per Hour

**Purpose of the Job**

Reporting directly to the Despatch Supervisor the Despatch operative

Shall be responsible for:
A variety of roles within a busy despatch department

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure all customers orders are picked in full, accurately and in date rotation
- Ensure pick sheets are documented with correct detail/dates etc
- Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times
- Ensure stock is rotated at end of pick/shift
- Receive stock from production, ensure product is correct temperature before scanning and uploading data.
- Move stock to correct area in readiness for picking.
- Ensure all pallets/orders are wrapped and labelled prior to loading
- Ensure all vehicle temperatures are within specification
- Record/document all information accurately on vehicles load plans
- Check all forklifts, PPT, wrapping machines are in good working order prior to use

**Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Forklift licence preferred although not essential
- Previous experience although not essential
