**Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Safety
- Complies with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of work assignments
- Supports and follows the guidelines of the food safety system
- Adhere to and promote the correct waste management procedures within the team.
- Required Completion of SEV’s and reporting of hazards/near misses, relevant actions to be complete in a timely manner.

Quality
- Performs duties as required to ensure compliance with the plants quality standards
- Regularly review SFOL charts and take a data driven approach to maintain and improve the process.
- Conducts inspection of in-process or finished product to meet customer specifications

**Production/Engineering**
- Perform various manual or mechanical production functions by operating, adjusting and repairing production equipment
- Disassembles, overhauls and rebuilds production equipment
- Performs troubleshooting on production equipment as required
- Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment as required
- Initiates, reviews and follows all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for area of responsibility
- To promote improvements and preventative actions in continuous improvement activities to meet key performance objectives and targets
- Ensure standardisation of equipment setting and operation to achieve the required specification and product quality.
- Continuously work towards achieving plant goals and KPI’s’ (Efficiency, Spoilage, Quality.)
- Engage in and suggest continuous improvement and safety projects.
- To maintain housekeeping standards to a safe and satisfactory condition
- Being available to assist on maintenance days and size conversions

**Other duties**
- To have good communication with management and fellow workers, reporting quality defects, unsafe conditions, manufacturing difficulties, ideas for improvement
- Perform and effective handover to oncoming shift.
- Completion of daily logbooks and daily PM’s by inputting data on a computer terminal
- You may be required to support in other positions within or below your pay grade to support business needs
