**Rethink Mental Illness are hiring a Waking Nights Support Worker to join our inspiring and friendly team at Hornsey Lane, Islington.**
1 x Full-Time (35 hours) position available - Waking Nights
**Overview of the role purpose**
As a Support Worker, you will offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. You will be working closely with service users to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey.
**I will work with the following people and teams**

- Bank Support Workers / Support Workers
- Volunteers
- Deputy Managers
- Registered Manager
**Essential skills and experience required for this role**:
- I am a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn
- I can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
**Overview of the service or the team**
Hornsey Lane is a 12 bed residential care home for older people (55+) with a long term primary Mental health diagnosis. Registered Care service staffed 24 hours. We aim to provide a welcoming, safe, non-judgemental environment which is conducive to the personal growth and wellbeing of our residents. Our holistic way of working consider all aspects of residents lives, rather than focusing solely on their diagnosis. We work collaboratively with agencies and services in the community and involve the resident in a recovery model approach. This involves the use of regularly reviewed support plans tailored to personal needs and wishes.
