**Overall Purpose**

Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager, the role holder will proactively promote a positive health and safety culture through undertaking varied tasks, including health and safety audits and inspections, to meet business standards and ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, particularly the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

The Health and Safety Advisor will actively support the business in maintaining safe and healthy workplaces by embedding a robust Health and Safety Strategy and annual action plans across all operational sites.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Undertake monthly office inspections and creating actions.
- Undertake Display Screen Equipment Risk Assessments.
- Create topical H&S presentations, bulletins, and guidance documents.
- Develop and review activity risk assessments.
- Network and build relationships with Get Living employees and other key stakeholders (internal and external), to promote and support collaborative working.
- Liaise with the Get Living Human Resources department to ensure H&S certifications are up-to-date and arrange H&S training as required.
- Schedule and support external audits and inspections, collate actions, and track all through to completion within set timescales.
- Investigate low to medium risk accidents and incidents, assign actions, track actions, create and distribute lessons learned reports.
- Monitor and collate neighbourhood health and safety performance statistics.
- Develop a sound level of technical knowledge through continuous professional development and membership of appropriate professional bodies.
- Support the implementation of the Get Living H&S Policy and Organisational Arrangements through communicating and reinforcing employee, contractor and agency workers health and safety responsibilities.
- Provide secretariat support for bi-monthly neighbourhood Health, Safety and Wellbeing Action Group (HSWAG) meetings.
- Supporting the Health and Safety Manager with H&S team admin, such as maintaining the H&S compliance system and raising H&S related invoices.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards.
- Currently working in a Health and Safety role, with at least 12 months operational work experience.

- Passion for health, safety and workplace wellbeing.
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel.
- Data analysis.
- Ability to be flexible and support a variety of projects.
- A team player with confidence to express thoughts and share ideas.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on continued professional development.
