Kenect Recruitment are looking for part time site operatives for Veolia based in Oswestry. Reporting to the site supervisor, the HRC site operatives play a key role within the VEOLIA business. You will be a part of a team providing an effective and efficient recycling service to the residents of Shropshire in the reception of municipal refuse and recycling. Based at the Oswestry IWMF, Maesbury Road Ind Est, Oswestry, Shropshire SY10 8GA

**Pay Rate**: £9.50 ph

**Overtime rates available**

**Schedule**: 2 to 3 days per week Monday to Sunday

8.30 till 17.00 with a half an hour break

**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- To assist members of the public at the Household Recycling Centre with waste and recycling disposal.
- Working as part of a small team of dedicated and flexible operatives
- Outdoor work is required.
- Weekend work is required on a rota basis. Overtime rates will be paid
- To comply with all statutory laws and legislation with relation to your duties.
- Compliance with company policies and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards
- Plant and weighbridge data entry work is available e.g loading shovel/telehandler. Full training and accreditation is available.
- Various additional duties including waste transfer station operations on a day to day basis can be offered, after training completed.
- Report any unsafe acts/ conditions
- To carry out any duties as reasonably requested by your line manager. or supervisor
- To carry out duties according to the programme of works and work instructions
- If operating plant after full training, to carry out all inspections and ensure plant is correctly serviced and operated
- To ensure that each day all completed work is in accordance with requested duties
- To wear the correct safety equipment at all times
- To maintain regular contact with your line manager throughout the day to advise of progress and any work that may not have been done
- To conform with all applicable site rules
- To assist with other parts of the operation as and when required and other sites.
- Ensure that all related documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
- To comply with all Safe Working Procedures on site.
- To comply with the VEOLIA Management System
- To comply with and work towards all VEOLIA recycling, environmental and Health & Safety targets and objectives.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.50 per hour
