**Apprenticeship Gardener - Golders Green Crematorium**

We are looking for an Apprentice Gardener to join our team at Golders Green Crematorium, working alongside a friendly and supportive team whilst you gain both practical knowledge and on the job experience.

**How long is the horticultural apprenticeship at The London Cremation Company?**

You’ll study for two years minimum to achieve a Level 2 qualification in Horticultural Operations (course details - Horticulture or Landscape Construction Operative Apprenticeship (Level 2) - Capel Manor College).

You can then consider continuing on for a third year and complete the RHS level 2 Certificate in Practical Horticulture (course details - RHS Level 2 Certificate in Practical Horticulture - Capel Manor College).

**What horticultural skills will I learn?**

A variety of cultivation, garden and landscape design, parkland management to pest control and soil science. You’ll get hands on training in operating horticultural machinery.

Following on there is a stunning array of roses which takes us through summer and into the glorious colours of autumn.

The LCC provides the opportunity to learn skills and gain experience in beautiful, tranquil grounds.

The company will support you in your apprenticeship and will also provide additional training required for the role, along with a generous benefits package.

**What will I be paid?**

You will be paid the National Living wage of £11.44 per hour (£23,200.00 per annum).

The company will fund the cost of the Apprenticeship course.

**Where is the course based?**

You will spend one day per week at Capel Manor College. The other four days, you will be working alongside our Gardening team at Golders Green Crematorium. You’ll be full time and the working hours are 7am - 4pm.
