**Customs Coordinator**

**Southport**

**£25,000 - £30,000 (flexible depending on experience)**

**Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30**

I’m currently recruiting for a Customs Coordinator to join a well-established, family run, global liquid logistics company to support the current European and Deep-sea Operation. This expanding business presents opportunities to progress, develop and learnwithin their culture driven team.

- Experience of making customs declarations since Brexit
- Customs qualifications are highly desirable
- Previous experience of handling import / export customs entries
- Experience using Descartes, Destin8, Chief, CDS or similar systems
- Previously worked for a freight forwarder or logistics company
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads
- Genuinely passionate in finding solutions for clients
- Experience of working within a fast paced shipping or logistics office

**Duties and Responsibilities;**
- Ensuring that all clearance processes are completed in a complaint and timely manner.
- Providing information to your team and customers directly relating to HMRC customs and excise for the import / export of shipment via sea and multimodal operations
- Advising on the documentation necessary for direct import/export, transit movements
- To ensure the company is fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC and other relevant bodies. And ensure good query resolution
- Monitoring customer volumes and highlighting unusual trends to management
- Ensuring that all necessary custom clearance processes post Brexit are implemented in a timely and accurate fashion
- Utilising your knowledge of customs tariffs, CPC codes and security declarations
