Fulfilment Team Leader

Our client in Rotherham South Yorkshire is looking for an Fulfilment Team Leader to join there expanding team.
**Hours of work**
8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
**Primary Responsibilities**
Responsible for running a highly efficient and agile fulfilment department, managing a team to fulfil their objectives. To work alongside the Warehouse and Production Planning departments to ensure distributions are fulfilled to SLA.
**Key Work Objectives**
- Develop, maintain and regularly review team strategy to ensure KPIs, work standards and expectations in line with company objectives are met.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all administrative and reporting procedures and routines and that paperwork is forwarded to the relevant parties.
- Prepare distribution lists for the preferred despatch method and output the preferred despatch carrier labels in the designated quantities determined by the distribution.
- Liaise with both Production Planning and the Warehouse regarding the items required to form part of each distribution.
- Ensure cross team communication to raise issues, improve processes and obtain or offer support.
- Communicate performance vs plan regularly and the role of escalating any issues that may mean the plan isn't reached that day.
- Feedback consignment details to the account management team at the end of every distribution
- Manage the day-to-day operations and ensure tasks are completed to agreed timelines.
- Produce daily/weekly/monthly reports for management on progress against specific objectives/KPI’s.
- Appropriately communicate organisation information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and regular interpersonal communication
- Work with HR to recruit, interview, select, hire and onboard new employees.
- Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes objective setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
- Ensure compliance with rules, procedures, systems, etc. Whilst striving to continuously improve processes and relationships and instilling this mindset into your team.
- Ensure that the quality of service within the team is maintained at the highest possible standards. Carry out spot checks and work closely with other managers to identify recurring problems and agree, initiate and monitor relevant corrective action.
- Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training, and welfare of your team.
**General**
- Undertake any other reasonable duties which may be requested of you by the management team.
- Interact with internal departments/suppliers/customers in pursuance of the stated duties.
- To identify and correct problems at the earliest opportunity within the warehouse and escalate where required.
- Take responsibility for own development, actively seeking opportunities for self-improvement.
- Be responsible, along with other staff members for compliance with health and safety regulations for yourself, other staff, and visitors.
**Experience**
Must have previously come from an team leading background, working on your own initiative and managing a team, to reach company goals. Previous experience working in a similar environment or background.
**Skills**:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Use of information technology such as Microsoft, Excel, Explorer, and office products
- Problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Must be flexible with the ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm
- Have good attention to detail, being thorough and analytical
**Knowledge**
- An expert knowledge of the print industry and practices
- Good understanding of the production environment
