We are looking to appoint a Trust Safeguarding Lead at Ryedale Learning Trust (RLT) to undertake the role of the Trust safeguarding and child protection expert and to act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Norton College.

This is a really exciting time for RLT as we embark on a journey of growth, innovation and school improvement. We have recently welcomed Norton College to our Multi Academy Trust, which provides increased opportunities to further improve the educational provision and standards in our Trust schools, and to ensure that every learner in our Trust is inspired to succeed and enabled to fulfil their potential.

As we continue to grow, this leads to greater opportunities for you to succeed and develop your career with us. As Trust Safeguarding Lead you will be responsible for developing safeguarding and child protection strategy and culture across the Trust, leading on safeguarding approaches and championing safeguarding throughout the organisation. You will provide specialist advice and supervision to Trust DSLs, acting as the first point of contact for complex safeguarding and child protection matters whilst ensuring consistent practice across the Trust and providing robust monitoring and compliance.

If you would like more information about the role, please contact Mark McCandless, Chief Executive Officer on 01439 772610 for an informal discussion.
